They followed that effort later in the day with an impressive 7–2 win against the Nickel City Cubs at the IRC Braley Gold rink, showcasing their depth and offensive firepower.
Momentum carried into Saturday as the Storm continued to dominate. A convincing 7–2 win over the Brantford 99ers at the Paul Dossey rink demonstrated the team’s ability to control the pace of play, while a disciplined and defensive effort later that evening resulted in a 3–0 loss to North Toronto, sending the Storm into championship Sunday.
In the gold-medal game, the Storm faced a familiar opponent in North Toronto once again. In a tight, high-energy final, the team showed resilience and composure, battling through every shift to earn a thrilling 2–1 Over time victory and secure the tournament title.
The championship win was a true team effort, highlighted by strong goaltending, committed defensive play, and timely scoring throughout the weekend. The U10 AA Storm represented the organization with pride, determination, and sportsmanship, making it a memorable tournament victory on home ice.
