Tryouts
for the 2025-26 season are fast approaching! To help players sharpen their
skills and feel confident heading into evaluations, we are offering exclusive
Prep-Skates for Players & Goalies as well as Hitting Clinics for those
interested in contact hockey tryouts.
**ONLY SOUTH SIMCOE MEMBERS OF THE 2024-25 SEASON ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATEImportant:
- Hitting Clinics are MANDATORY for any player trying out for U14 AA,
A, and above (BB is non-contact).
- Prep-Skates are OPTIONAL but highly recommended to help players
prepare for tryouts.
These
sessions are open exclusively to South Simcoe members, and space is limited—so
don’t wait to sign up!
Prep-Skate
Program Details
Goalie
Prep-Skates (Led by CPHS - Colin Pickard Hockey School)
- Focus on tracking, positioning, rebound control & mobility
- Duration: 1.5 hours per session
- Cost: $75 per session
- Max Capacity: 10 goalies per session
Player
Prep-Skates (Led by CPHS - Colin Pickard Hockey School)
- Sharpen skating, puck control, passing, shooting & game
awareness ahead of tryouts
- Duration: 4 x 1-hour sessions
- Cost: $120 for all 4 sessions
- Max Capacity: 25 skaters per program
Mandatory
Hitting Clinics for Contact Hockey Tryouts (Led by TwoWay Hockey School)
- Required for all players trying out for
contact hockey, U14 AA, A & above
- Learn proper body contact techniques for safety & effectiveness
- Duration: 1.5 hours per session
- Cost: $50 per session
- Max Capacity: 16 skaters per program
Players
who have not completed a Hitting Clinic will NOT be eligible for U14 AA or A
and above tryouts. (BB is non-contact)
