This March break Ontario’s largest Indigenous Hockey tournament,
celebrated its 50th Anniversary. The Little Native Hockey League
(Little NHL) welcomed over 4,000 youth aged 5-17. The organization was created
to foster inclusivity in Hockey for Indigenous players, support communities and
young players through safe play.
The Little NHL, hosted by Markham had South Simcoe Storm
Representation.
Andreas Bahinski Goaltender for the U13BB South Simcoe Storm,
has now played in his second year representing his families Nation of Serpent
River. This year his team celebrated a great success of 3-1-1 in 5 games.
