Dear South Simcoe Minor Hockey Association Members,
We are excited to announce the coaching lineup for the
2024-25 season across various age groups. This year's selection process was
comprehensive, reflecting our commitment to excellence and development within
our teams.
Coaching Selection Process
The selection of our coaches was led by our Coaching
Selection Committee, comprised of Board Members, Adam Lynn, Drew Beaton, John
Reilly, Karrie Copelli, Phil Vito, Vince Charlebois, Janice Tee, Steve Grass,
Karen Mitchell, Mike Anderson, Kelly Jensen, Sonia Marchese and Courtney Ward.
In addition to the committee, we were fortunate to have a number of
independent, non-board representatives volunteer their time to assist with this
process. These dedicated volunteers were Dwayne Boettger, Paul Matheson, Colin
Pickard, Andrea Rinaldi, and Noble Carlton. Together, this team pooled their
insights and expertise at every step of the process, ensuring we chose the best
candidates to lead our teams. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone
involved for their invaluable contribution to shaping the future of our teams.
The selection committee was impressed by the quality and
enthusiasm of all applicants. After conducting interviews, the Board of
Directors approved the selected coaches on Thursday, March 21, for the upcoming
season. It's worth noting that the coaches for the U18 age group and BB
categories will be announced in the upcoming weeks, along with the U13, U14 and
U15 age groups.
